DTi is a domestic third-party chemical testing organization, provides a one-stop solution for halogen chemical testing and certification, with experienced engineering/business The team, with more than 12 years of testing experience, provides a full range of testing and certification needs, Service Hotline: 139-2372-2641 .
Halogens include fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I) and astatine (At), which are present in the VIIA family of the periodic table of chemical and physical elements. Halogens are often used in flame retardants, refrigerants, solvents, organic chemical raw materials, pesticides and insecticides, bleaching agents, wool degreasing, etc.
Common standards and regulations regulate halogens
(1) EU 2011/65/EU restricted substances: brominated flame retardants;
(2) Global "Montreal Protocol" restricted substances: five chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and three halons;
(3) 151 countries and organizations "Stockholm Convention" restricted substances: organochlorine pesticides, hexachlorobenzene (HCB), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs), polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs), polychlorinated Chlorodibenzofurans (PCDFs);
(4) IEC61249-2-21 Regulations for IEC printed board materials. z Maximum limit: chlorine, bromine, total halogen.
Different products have different limit standards for non-halogenated products
Such as halogen-free wire and cable, the halogen index is:
All halogen values ≦50PPM (according to regulation PREN 14582);
The content of hydrogen halide gas produced after combustion is less than 100PPM (according to regulation EN 5067-2-1);
The PH value of the hydrogen halide gas produced after combustion is dissolved in water ≧4.3 (weak acid) (according to the regulation EN-5 0267-2-2);
After the product is burned in a closed container, its transmittance is ≧60% through a beam of light (according to the regulation EN-50268-2).
Halogen-free requirements: bromine and chlorine content are less than 900ppm, (bromine + chlorine) less than 1500ppm.
Detection method
IPC-TM-650 2.3.28.2; BS EN 14582:2007 standard;
