Guidelines for Handling Analysis and Testing Reports of Nonferrous Metal Components
1、 Applicable product scope
The non-ferrous metal composition analysis report is applicable to aluminum, copper, zinc, magnesium, titanium, nickel and their alloy materials. Common testing objects include aluminum alloy profiles, copper rods and tubes, zinc alloy die-casting parts, magnesium alloy components, titanium alloy products and other industrial raw materials and finished products.
2、 Main testing items
|Test Category | Specific Project
|Principal Component Analysis | Mass Scores of Various Elements (such as Aluminum Content, Copper Content, etc.)
|Impurity elements | Trace impurities such as iron, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, etc
|Trace elements | Rare earth elements, harmful elements (lead, cadmium, mercury, etc.)
|Grade determination | Determine material grades based on national or industry standards
3、 Common testing standards
GB/T 7999- Optical direct reading spectroscopic analysis of aluminum and aluminum alloys
GB/T 5121- Chemical analysis methods for copper and copper alloys
GB/T 13788- Hot rolled coils for cold-rolled ribbed steel bars
YS/T 630- Spectral Analysis Method for Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys
JIS H1305- Determination of Optoelectronic Spectroscopy of Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys
4、 Process and cycle of handling
1. Commission application ->Fill out the commission form and provide sample and material information
2. Sample reception → Laboratory checks sample status and confirms testing plan
3. Composition testing → using spectrometer, ICP and other equipment for detection
4. Data processing → issuing test data and conducting brand identification if necessary
5. Report issuance → Review and issue formal testing report
Regular cycle: 5-7 working days (when sample size is small)
5、 Required Information
Sample List (Quantity, Specifications, Materials)
Material information or grade (such as 6063 aluminum, HPb59-1 brass, etc.)
Explanation of testing requirements (only ingredient data or brand identification required)
Entrusting unit information (name, address, contact information)
6、 Precautions
The sample should be representative, with a standard sample size of 2-5 pieces
Different matrix materials (aluminum alloy, brass, etc.) need to be separately inspected
If there are special standard requirements for the product, it is necessary to inform in advance so that the corresponding method can be selected
It is recommended to provide material certificates for imported materials or special alloys for result verification
